Far, Far Behind: Part 1

Our weather back in early December called for lots of inside activities as the snow fell, swirled, and piled up.  One of the things Brian and the boys had a great time doing was building with K'nex.  It seemed that if the boys requested something, Brian was able to build it - a helicopter, a fork lift.

We also celebrated Sam's 3rd birthday (the day before his actual birthday) with a party at a local business called "Jump Man Jump" which is basically a huge warehouse filled with inflatable jumpers. Sam's playgroup, the Lake Tahoe Little Twigs, is a pretty big group with several kids who have birthdays between early November and early December. So, being the wise moms we are, five of us opted to have a joint party for our kids for all the playgroup members. We all had a great time bouncing and then having lunch and birthday cake.

Christmas Snapshots

Ski Preview

This last week marked the first days of the boys learning to ski.  Our sitter, Jaime, has taken on the role of ski instructor and in two days time she had both Ben and Sam working on several skills.  The first day Sam was less than enthusiastic but by day two he was much more willing to try things out.  Now I just need some time to pick up some skills before the boys completely pass me by.

Sitting down with something warm to drink
Taking a nap
Staying inside until our most recent storm passes
Calling every day this weekend a "Movie Day"
Apologizing profusely for being a lame, slacker, terrible blogger
